Welcome to the website of Cheddar Valley U3A, and a special welcome if you are thinking of joining us.

Cheddar Valley U3A is a member of the Third Age Trust. The aim of the U3A (University Of The Third Age) is to encourage retired people to broaden their knowledge and develop personally, to become involved in new interests and to make new friends. It is not all learning, we have lots of fun too!

Within Cheddar Valley U3A there are approximately 50 special-interest groups. These groups give members the opportunity to participate in their favourite activities and hobbies, or new activities and hobbies, alongside other members with the same interests. A full list of these groups is near the back of our Newsletter. A description of some of the group's activities is given on this website - please click on the appropriate links on the left.

As well as the special-interest groups, Cheddar Valley U3A organises a monthly light-hearted talk intended to appeal to everybody, and there are regular Coffee Mornings.

Please feel free to contact our Membership Secretary, Margaret Woodliffe, by email (margaretwoodliffe@gmail.com) or phone (01934 744241).
