Handbell-Ringing

We meet every Thursday morning, except coffee morning days, at the Church Hall in Weare.
The group rings on two sets of bells, both sets being 3 ½ octaves ( about 80 bells ). A further octave of bass chimes has been added to compliment the bells and give an organ like quality to the sound.
The ringers perform at concerts and charity events and last year, together with the U3A singers, staged a candle lit supper which raised over £400 for the local church roof fund.

We are always on the look out for more members, no experience necessary.
It's not even essential to be able to read music.

Our next public performance will be for a charity supper in Cheddar at the beginning of December.
