PHOTOGRAPHY
The photography group was started in about 2000 by Ernest Hutchinson, who led it until the end of 2003 when he handed over to David Dixon, who is the current leader.
The aim of the group is to maintain and develop each other’s enthusiasm for their photography, while sharing ideas and advice to improve our pictorial, technical and presentation skills. There are currently nine members of the group, which is ideal.
The group meets monthly, generally, but not always, on the fourth Monday in one or other of the group members' homes. Additionally we go out as a group on Safari a couple of times a year taking pictures both together and apart, and enjoying a pub lunch and cream tea perhaps.
There is more to being a photographer than taking pictures!

The group is very informal and each month chooses a topic, the results of which we reveal to each other at the following meeting, offering tips and suggestions on a positive and helpful comments only basis. And we sometimes rise to the challenge of an assignment on a purely technical issue rather than a subject.
Members are using both Digital and Film cameras.
