POETRY

The Poetry group started in 2003 and currently has eight members. We meet at 10.30am on the third Wednesday of each month for about an hour and a half. There is no structured programme; we prefer to let one thing lead to another so topics range from an in depth study of a particular poet, to poetic form, to a look at a particular period or style. Members suggest the next topic and do as much or little preparation and research as they please. Altogether a relaxed approach aiming at enjoyment.
