Philosophy for most people sounds abstract and impenetrable without deep intellectual endeavor and they feel it is probably of little use in everyday life. It is true that the pursuit of philosophical studies can be very ivory tower but at its simplest philosophy is, the study of matters in our lives through the application of critical and rational thinking, employed to improve our understanding of our world. Therefore, our group explores the thought's, ideas and theories of great philosophers but we discuss them in the context of our own experiences and the world we live in. Thereby we learn to philosophize in the context of today.

Our meetings are held monthly on the fourth Thursday morning of the month. We have a schedule of meetings with topics associated with each meeting which is related to a textbook we used as a basis for our studies.
